Vancouver Waterfront Park
HAPPY WEDNESDAY, HUMANS!
With so much anxiety, tension, and conflict in the world right now, I’ve decided to play a wee game and scatter some optimism for people to discover.
I love walking along the river around sunset, or a bit afterward as the evening begins cooling down. With all its new construction, tasting rooms and restaurants, the newer section of the Vancouver Waterfront is certainly a good opportunity to observe people, and study how humans engage with one another, so it seemed an excellent spot to stash a ‘Dearie’ note.
For reserved introverts, like I am, trusting opportunities to engage with other humans, and taking those sorts of risks, can easily feel daunting, tricky, and sometimes just more trouble than they’re worth… Yet, the universe has a funny way of offering up consistent reminders that anything worth doing is difficult, and the most meaningful things in life are often right on the other side of our fears.
The older I get, the more grateful I feel for those who see me, understand me, and can get me to do mad things… After all, if I want my life to be about SOMETHING, sooner or later I must take part in the opportunity to live.
Peace to you goodly people! You, and your heads, and your hearts!
